Mr Adam Drummond – possibly the best MC I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in action for Royal Far West.

Adam very generously provided his professional service to this charity on a pro bono basis recently to support a very special fundraising function that saw 30 amateur cyclists ride from Dubbo to Wagga in 3 days, a distance of 490kms.

The celebration at the end of the ride was an important one to honour the effort of these courageous individuals as well as their fundraising efforts.  Adam was the perfect “front man” for this end stage celebration and evening of acknowledgement – he was funny, witty, self-effacing and clever.  The intensive and extensive research he had undertaken in advance of the evening was testimony to his professional standards and allowed him to be able to deliver a personal message to nearly everyone in the room.

He knew his audience so well and was able to personally recognise individual contributions in large number.  His passion for the people, the cause, the achievements of the team and the task at hand (to exceed $100k in fundraising funds) was palpable and unfailingly.  I was deeply complimented that he took his job so seriously for the Royal Far West and the kids and families we serve. His timing was impeccable – being able to disarm with his wit, some of the toughest members in the group. He is sensitive and intelligent in his references to people and remained acutely aware all evening, of the organisers in the room and their needs to meet their commitments.

Our Fundraising total was exceeded at the end of the night because of Adam’s exceedingly clever way of drawing people into the event and getting them to engage in the bidding and the fun of the event.

I read Adam to be a man of great integrity and would seek to have him MC any event of ours again in a shot!

Thank you for the opportunity to say a few words about a terrific young man and truly a Master of Ceremonies.
